And she's done! She caught on to the concept of blending really well. I'm so proud :)

Mouse Discovers Mouse pt2

Here's Evie's mouse after another lesson. Next time we'll finish the mouse, do the touch ups & be done! She has the opportunity to practice mixing different values of the same color on the mouse & next time we'll use the values to blend that area on the mouse's stomach & on his right leg.

This is what Evie is working on now. She's 7 years old and this is the second day of painting. My students work from red, blue, yellow, white & black, so she mixes all of her colors. She's really caught onto color mixing.

My student Grace finished this piece today. She's 7 years old and worked on this one for about four 45 minute sessions. Today she got to "water it" (as she says). We were both pretty excited. Her parents already have it framed.
